Moving On.

Thanks guys. I have moved. To here. I'm trying something new - writing style or more posting with pics or sth - so if you're still interested, go now.

To Gracia if you are reading, moving means I'm moving my blog yar.

I like to move it, move it - means you are kay poh. :)

To readers, Gracia looks like this.

I'll probably get killed for posting this. But I wana test if she's reading.

Goodbye Blogger.

In Case You're Wondering..

..why my blog formatting looks so out-of-place at the moment, I'm in the process of dumping blogger for wordpress. I'm trying to put everything together at the new house, but importing my Blogger posts have altogether messed up the formatting in this one. Well, I guess I will start afresh and backup* my blogger posts on the hard disk instead. In case you are wondering how to do so, you can check this article out. Better be safe than sorry.

*I heard Blogger close your account if you don't log in for 3 months.

One-off Supercross.

It costs us around 50usd to get into Qualcomm Stadium, and get a good view of the finishing line. A night of motorcross action and record crowd of 71,000 is just too good to be missed, isn't it? Well, not so. It was pretty boring because it's like watching your secondary school's Sports Day. There were so many cc categories and so many heats, while the stunts were pretty much the same. But I must say the hardcore Supercross racers were definitely worth my money. Nevertheless, if 20-over motorcycles racing around in circles doesn't interest you, it's only natural for your eyes to be observing other stuff. Like these:

  1. Paper aeroplanes and empty beer cups flying everywhere.
  2. Mexican-wave initiator failing miserably.
  3. Super cute kid with headphone to muffle the motor sounds.
  4. Drunk middleage woman stripping off her top to whoa the crowd.
  5. Crazy streaker running and diving into the hills of sands.
  6. Kids with mohawk hairdo.
  7. The only 8-year old gal competing in the Kids Supercross. My eyes were on her bike the whole time even though she wasn't winning.
  8. Man peeing (or doing something else) at one dark corner.
  9. Everyone having at least one cup of beer (7usd) and a tray of nachos (5usd) in their hands.
  10. Chicks.

I doubt I will watch another Supercross again. It's exciting but only that much. That once. Alright, next up would be LA Lakers, Baseball, Ice Hockey, Monday Night Raw, etc. And Wrestlemania is sold out. I'm damn sad lar. Kaoz.

  4. Lie in bed and do nothing

These complete my weekend. Hurray.

Next Time, Use Fedex.

Chio-dao-peng* la!! *laugh till faint Updated - For some reasons, this short Fedex clip couldn't be viewed on my laptop. It is okay in my school's computer. Nevertheless, this is my favourite commercial from the entire Superbowl list. They are just so damn good la. Check them out. Please. The Funnys - Fedex, the whole Budweiser series, CareerBuilder, Sprint, Pepsi, Hummer. The kua-zhangs - ESPN Mobile, Ford, Unilever. The touchings - Dove, Hero Salute. And of course, the finally-approved Go Daddy.com advert. Then there was the Pay-per-View Lingerie Bowl that was played during halftime of the Superbowl. Din't noe abt it till i saw the picture on My Yahoo homepage. Ouch. I'm starting to love the American game.

Click Me! Point At Me!

Oh my god, I'm having so much fun entertaining myself. Gosh!

Superbowl XL

In case you don't get what my favourite comic is talking about. It's Superbowl XL today! Seattle Seahawks against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The American version of rugby - add gladiator gears and bangla's safety helmets. It's also the time when commercials get funny, with big companies trying superly-doubly-hard with comedy ads to complement this day of immensely-high viewership. As high as Project Superstar Finals. Or Star Awards. Or the Ren-ci monk abseiling down Suntec Towers under harsh windy conditions with a packet of ice (3 years of stunts combined). It's a day where everyone is either at the stadium or bars watching, or at house parties drinking and smoking weeds and their lives away. Btw, we will be spending it bbq-ing at a friend's house. Not very healthy as well, but I guess it's cool enough for a first Superbowl experience.

Whoa Discovery #3

Americans don't use SMS-es. "Is it expensive to call in Singapore?" "No, you can actually purchase prepaid cards and they give you free incoming, free sms-es, free..." "Whoa ya, the sms-es. They call it sms in Singapore. It's our text here. Those Singaporeans text like crazy over there. They can send like 1000+ texts per month! And they punch the buttons at incredible speed. It's crazy!" "..." Today it's my turn, as well as Gracia, Xiaohan and Chang's turn to present NTU to the Americans. We were answering some basic living-costs-in-Singapore questions when this gal who exchanged at NTU a year ago interrupted us with some alien fact about Singaporeans. No wonder the world fastest sms-er is a Singaporean.

We Are VERRRY Cheap.

In a Study Abroad talk that SDSU conducted for it's American students who want to come over to NTU for exchange, someone asked, "Are the textbooks there more affordable?" To which ZR blurted out, "VERRRY cheap, VERRRY, VERRRY CHEAP!!!" What causes that kinda response, we don't know for sure. He must have an unhappy childhood or something. But it makes them* red-faced for quite sometime. *I wasn't there fortunately. YL, YT and Mav were. Heheh.

My Landlord Is A Sucker #1

The other day, I caught Nao outside his room, a rare thing because he stays in his room all the time. He even cooks his meals inside, so I was lucky to see him. There he was, in the kitchen, with the laundry basket. He's doing the laundry, you see. He can't possibly bring the washing machine into his room, so yar. Hey, wait a minute. My landlord TOLD me that there was no washing machine in this dumb house and in order to wash my clothes, I have to walk up 2 hills (15mins) to this laundry shop and sit there for 1.5hours for the clothes to wash and dry. And there was Nao standing in front of me with his laundry basket. WTF. WTF, I asked Nao. He couldn't possibly understand, so I said, "What the ba-kay-ro?" instead. He pointed to this trapdoor beyond the kitchen. I opened it. It was dark. I felt my hand around for a switch, but felt something instead. It was my landlord's maimed hand. Nah, I kid. The dungeon was lit on and ta-ta, the washing machine and dryer stood there, as good as sushi. I told Nao, "TJ told me there was no laundry facilities in this house!!" Nao said, "$#&$^@#..." "Oh fucks." Nao showed me how to use this. I figured that because TJ (the landlord) is volunteering to share the utilities cost with us, which he should because of all the stupid fancy lights he used for his Mickey House area, he wanted to restrict our use. So, no laundry for us. Nao has lived here for 2 years, so obviously, TJ lied to us. Which is a stupid thing to do, because not only am I going to take out on him with my blog (small deal), I'm going to tell TJ that I'm not going to split the utilities evenly with him because I saw Nao using the laundry. Not that I have anything against Nao, but I just want to see TJ explains himself about the missing laundry issue. Is he going to come up with something stupid? Heheh.

Laptop and ohh..

Ya man, you are looking at dPx's prized possession #231 (count for entire lifetime). A freaking 30gb iPod video! Got it from Circuit City in Grossmont at a cheap price of USD199*! That's like S$300+ and yesh, Singapore Apple Stores sell them at S$549. How cool~!! Knowing Mark did the trick. He's an American friend working there and managed to get us cheap prices for expensive items. Our loot includes a FX-8 for USD299*. He's working till this Sunday so if anyone wana long-bang electronics, msn me. *Prices subjected to changes; highly dependable on variables such as Mark's courage and the presence of managers walking around.
